Futbol Association SafeSport

FA SAFESPORT REQUIREMENTS

Futbol Association requires SafeSport training for all individuals who have regular contact with youth athletes as part of FA-sanctioned activities. 

The U.S. Center for SafeSport is a non-profit organization focused on ending all forms of abuse in sport. They endeavor to make athlete well-being the centerpiece of the nation’s sports culture through abuse prevention, education, and accountability. 

 

The US Center for SafeSport also provides optional education for youth participants and parents. 

This requirement supports safe, respectful, and accountable environments across all Futbol Association programs and competitions.

 

WHO MUST COMPLETE SAFESPORT TRAINING

SafeSport training is required for:

  • Coaches
  • Referees
  • Club administrators
  • Team managers
  • Any adult with regular contact with youth athletes

TRAINING & RENEWAL SCHEDULE

  • Initial SafeSport training must be completed before participation
  • Refresher training is required in years 2, 3, and 4
    Full training is required again in year 5

HOW TO COMPLETE SAFESPORT TRAINING

  1. Access SafeSport training through the U.S. Center for SafeSport
  2. Complete the required course
  3. Maintain proof of completion for FA participation
    Renew training according to the schedule above

REPORTING CONCERNS

Concerns related to abuse or misconduct should be reported directly to the U.S. Center for SafeSport.

Futbol Association fully supports SafeSport reporting processes and encourages all participants to speak up when concerns arise.
